I downloaded the patch but when I start the game, appears the logo of EA and then the screen goes black. Only the red cursor is on the screen. Thanks, but I uninstall the game.

When you download patch, move it into game folder - double click on it - next - done.

i tried it also. i didn't work. i couldn't find the bin64 folder though?is that a problem? my computer being 64 bit and this game probably works in 32 bit.

i did install all versions of c++ till 2015. turned off firewall and did as instructed and my system requirements are adequate for this game to run. i still dont understand what is the problem?
For this game, it is very important to install visual C++ 2005 (any newer version of C++ will not affect to the game)

Game opens in black screen. Don't working, do not install!
Black screen on windows 10(64 bit).
Music is on but there is nothing else but black screen.
OK, here is what i did and it helps:
I uninstall game, restart PC, install again but this time in C-users-name-Games and it worked. I also tried to install Crysis_Patch_1_2_1 and it didn't work.
Sims that you must install in different place because game by default want to be installed into C-Downloads :p (don't do it!).
This charming game still looks great. Better than tones of new ones.
As we know this is the pirated version of the game so... does this version has the anti-pirate punishment? you know. the punishment where your bullets are chickens.
