i had the same issue, but its solved after i installed C++ 2015 (both 64bit and 32 bit).

Hello admins....i need help,i downloaded the game & installed it,but when i try to play by clicking on the icon of the game,nothing happening except black screen(start screen of the game but there is no animation) for short time, then the game close shortly after black screen (my graphics intel 3000,core i5, 8g ram).

Hello nosTEAM,
First time user and i have to say, i love your games and is an awesome alternative to save. Although i do have a question about crashes on this game in particular and hope you guys could shed some light.
Periodically the game will instantly freeze and crash, instead of deleting the game and restarting the torrent all over again and re installing, is there any alternative way to repair the game or some kind of update that will fix the crash issues, i can be playing for 10mins, an hour or even 5 before it crashes but it does crash at least once every time i play it.

UPDATE ON CRASHES!!!!!
Still having issues after doing the following:
1.Downloaded and updated Direct X,Visual C and Framework and they are all on the latest patch.
2.Deleting the game and reinstalling.
3.Going into properties and selecting Compatibility mode for my version of windows.
4.Right clicking "Run as Administrator" even clicked "run as administrator" under "Privilege level" in properties.
5.Downloaded the latest patch for Call of the Wild.
I am honestly stuck now..

maybe your PC is overheating ? try lower resolution in game and video settings also

No i don't think my computer is overheating, if that was the case it would go into safe mode to prevent further damage and restart... also my computer would detect the heat signature within...
Also i lowed all my graphics to the lowest and it still ends up crashing... I can get maybe 10mins to over an hour before it just randomly erupts in an error message and force closes... This also happens anywhere in game, roads, lots of trees/grass/bushes and water so i don't think its an environmental detail problem as also the resolution is on the lowest setting as stated before...

I think your method might of worked! took that link and downloaded the files, i already had em (guessing they come with the game automatically) so i thought hell, might as well replace em, (not sure if thats what you meant or not but i did) so far no crashes after 3hours of gameplay!! i am curious as to how you knew that was going to work or what gave you the thought/hunch as to why try that method because it seemed to work!!! Thanks alot for that troubleshoot. as stated i knew i was going to lose my safe game but wasn't worried about it and i'm glad i replaced those steam files...but again... what gave you the idea to try that method?? MANY THANKS AGAIN!!!!!

Was wondering if the "update-the hunter file within the game directory automatically updates the game or do you guys need to post a link for a new update then add it into the directory yourself?
Also i noticed patch 1.3 came out with a new DLC with a FREE bearclaw bow you can get, will you guys be updated patches or providing any links to get an update?
